About Us

Green Energy Services is a local Tampa business, created by Jarid Derwort, CEO, to provide a much needed testing company in the Tampa Bay area. The idea started when Jarid read of Florida adopting the International Energy Conservation Code of 2015. His passion for energy efficiency and building in general drove him to invest in such an opportunity because it pairs well with his construction background. Jarid currently holds a Residential Contractor's License, A Florida Real Estate License, a BPI Certification in Infiltration and Duct Leakage, an Unmanned Aircraft License, and is also a Level 1 Thermographer(Infrared Inspections) from the Infraspection Institute.

We service all of Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough, and Hernando counties, and occasionally you will find us in Sumter, Citrus, Polk, and Hardee County. We always do our best to accommodate our customers, even if that means getting out the door at 4 am to drive two hours to you or driving over after hours to fit your in our schedule. We offer blower door & A/C duct tests which measure the air tightness of a home and expose air leakage problems for new construction homes. We also perform these tests on existing homes, and always find varying problems from house to house. From abandoned returns, to holes in the drywall envelope, to missing insulation, we pride ourselves on always providing our clients with exceptional determined service in finding the root cause of the problem.

 

Blower door tests are now a requirement in most states in the U.S. building code for all new residential homes, remodels, and commercial buildings.
